METAL CHINA+CIDC 2020 - new venue, new opportunities

The 18th China International Foundry Expo (METAL CHINA 2020) and the 14th China International Die Casting Industry Exhibition (CIDC) will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on 13-16th May 2020. The event is sponsored by China Foundry Association.

With the theme of ‘green, innovation, intelligence and security’, as the industry indicator of the foundry industry in China and the rest of the world, METAL CHINA+CIDC covers the entire ferrous and non ferrous chain. The exhibition is an important event for the global foundry sector and offers participants a shortcut for global brands entering the Chinese market. It is also an important window for the Chinese foundry industry to showcase its strength to the world.

Upgraded scale and entire machinery industry chain solutions

In 2020, China Foundry Association will continue its deep co-operation with China Machinery Industry Federation, China Bearing Industry Association, Metallurgical Council of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Industrial Furnace Branch of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, the dual-exhibition will add the themes of bearing, intelligent manufacturing, and robots in addition to the original subjects of foundry, diecasting, metallurgy and industrial furnace. The total exhibition area has been expanded to 230,000m2, which will bring together the entire industrial chain. In total, the six concurrent exhibitions are expected to attract 2,600 exhibitors, which will provide solutions for the entire machinery industry chain to the anticipated 220,000 visitors from more than 80 countries and regions. During the same period, more than 100 exciting supporting activities will be launched, including the 4th China Foundry Festival, the 16th China Foundry Association Annual Congress, technology seminars, China Foundry Sourcing Alliance Conference, the gold medal selection and award ceremony for high-quality castings, etc.

Highlighting new trends, leading new development

Four themed pavilions will focus on the development trends of ‘green, automation, intelligent, digitalisation’ and penetrate into the upstream and downstream products, services, latest research achievements and both high-end and cutting-edge products and technologies of the entire machinery industry supply chain. The majority of companies will participate in this extensive and excellent event, to build a bridge for technology upgrades and trade exchanges. The concurrent technology seminars, matchmaking programmes and new product release conferences will bring together the latest information about the global foundry sector, paying attention to the latest development trends, leading the trend of cutting-edge technologies and promoting trade negotiations.

Specialty show areas show new products and technologies

The exhibition will host an especially set up ‘Yangtze River Delta Enterprise Show Area’ to display the new style, new ideas and new achievements of high-quality diecasting companies in the Yangtze River Delta to the world.

The Yangtze River Delta area, with Shanghai as its economic centre, is one of the most important and advanced manufacturing bases in the world and one of the most developed foundry industry areas in China. It is also an important base for high-end equipment manufacturing in China.

Moreover, Wencan, Yadelin, Milllison, Hongtu, Jintuo, KaShui, LK, Norican Group, PSB Flow-3D Cast, ASD, Wanfeng, Buhler, Defaqi, Amsky, Sorl, Hitachi and the bureau members of the Die Casting Industry Exhibition, Top 50 Die Casting Enterprises, Top 20 Die and Mould Enterprises of China will bring their latest products and cutting-edge technologies to the show.

In addition, the intelligent manufacturing and 3D printing area, and semi-solid exhibition area will focus on ‘lightweight, electrification, intelligence and security’ to fully display the latest development achievements of the new era, and promote the integration and development of internet, big data and traditional industries.

The exhibition will also gather front-end industry talents from major universities across the country to participate in the talent matchmaking and exchange sessions on requirements for high-end foundry talents, integrate corporate talent needs into the university’s talent training system and further deepen the integration of production, education and research.
