Global gathering of metallurgy industry in November

ANKIROS 2020 (15th International Iron-Steel and Foundry Technology, Machinery and Products Trade Fair) and TURKCAST 2020 (9th International Foundry Products Trade Fair) will be organised by Hannover-Messe Ankiros A S on 12-14th November 2020 at Tuyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul – Turkey.

These trade fairs have become the largest and most prestigious metallurgy events of Eurasia aiming to bring together all the key players of the foundry, iron and steel and non-ferrous metals industries under one roof. Taking place every two years since 1992, the fairs are creating a reputation as one of the most significant exhibitions for metallurgy industry suppliers.

The 2018 edition of this event was deemed a great success as 1,020 exhibitors from 45 countries and around 17,197 industry professionals from all around the world gathered on the 21,832m² exhibition area. For this year’s event over 1,000 exhibitors and more than 18,000 visitors are expected. The trade shows will play an important role in the metallurgy industry and once again bring great business opportunities.

Special area for diecasting

There is a rapidly growing section for the diecasting industry, which is one of the main topics covered at ANKIROS and leading diecasting press and machine manufacturers have already reserved their exhibition spaces. This is the right place to meet almost all the leading diecasting companies.

Connect with iron-steel producers in halls 8 and 9

Turkish steel production ranks eighth in the world. Considering this growth of the steel industry; during ANKIROS 2020, halls 8 and 9 will be exclusively dedicated to the steel making sector. Worldwide leading suppliers to the steel industry as well as the steel producers and steel service centres will be showcasing their products and services in these specific halls. Additionally, the steel makers who are affiliated with TCUD – The Turkish Steel Producers Association – will welcome visitors in this special exhibition space, which will create a one-stop destination for steel products.

Everything about foundry products

TURKCAST 2020 will welcome exhibitors from around the world. Adding one new hall to expand TURKCAST will provide the opportunity for an even wider range of Turkish and global foundries, which produce castings for automotive engineering, heavy industry, construction, transportation, cement, ship building, agricultural machinery, white goods, energy, defence, glass, ceramic and many other related industries.

With its geographic location and modern foundry investments, Turkey is the leading metal casting exporter among EU countries, with 1.5 million tons of castings, 2.3 million tons of production and 2.7 million tons of installed capacity in 2018. Around 65 per cent of Turkish casting production directly exports to mainly EU and industrialised countries. Castings buyers are easily able to connect with many foundries in different ranges, certifications, metal types, technologies and value added services with well-known Turkish hospitality.

Metal forgings, heat treated, shaped, formed metals, surface treated products, machined castings, diecastings, investment castings, powder metal and 3D products, all metallurgy processes will be represented at ANKIROS and TURKCAST 2020.

Country pavilions 2020

At ANKIROS, the leading suppliers of the global metallurgy industry such as Germany, Italy, China, United Kingdom, Spain, South Korea, Iran and Belgium will be showcasing in the country pavilions instead of attending individually.

Discussion on all aspects of metallurgy at concurrent congresses

ANKIROS and TURKCAST 2020 will be hosting the most prestigious congresses in the same venue. These platforms will address the recent scientific and technological developments in the metallurgy industry. The 20th International Metallurgy and Materials Congress, organised by METEM Chamber of Metallurgical and Materials Engineers Training Center and 11th International Foundry Congress will be organised by TUDOKSAD – Turkish Foundry Association.
