New inorganic binders, zero VOC, low fume and silica free technologies

Technological advances have made it possible to cure conventional silica sand cores with just warm air. Foundries can now produce sand moulds for castings that produce no VOCs or fumes during manufacture, pouring and shakeout, plus waste streams that are suitable for beneficial reuse.
