15th ANKIROS and 9th TURKCAST International Trade Fairs postponed to June 2021

The new dates for the 15th ANKIROS International Iron-Steel, Foundry, Non-Ferrous Metallurgy Technologies, Machinery and Products Trade Fair and the 9th TURKCAST International Foundry Products Trade Fair are 10-12th June 2021.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect the whole world, making domestic and international travel very difficult and it is preventing people from coming together. ANKIROS and TURKCAST shows are well-known gatherings of the global metallurgy industry and the last event in 2018 saw a high level of international participation, bringing over 17,000 visitors and 1,020 exhibitors together from 86 countries.

After consulting with exhibitors, industry associations, professional organisations, if ANKIROS and TURKCAST were to be held on the original dates in November 2020, it is believed that the expected number of visitors would not be able to be reached due to the COVID-19 pandemic and many international exhibitors would not be able to participate due to travel restrictions, therefore expectations would not be met. Being one of the most important events of the metallurgy sector for 30 years, the dates for the ANKIROS and TURKCAST shows have thus been changed to 10-12th June 2021, supported by the demand of the industry. Once the pandemic has subsided, the organisers will still retain the current arrangements and already planned precautions to ensure that the highest hygiene standards are met during the exhibition.

Intense interest for ANKIROS/TURKCAST continues to increase for June!

95% of the participants of ANKIROS 2018 left with positive opinions and stated that they will participate in the same stand again. Consequently, 50 per cent of the exhibition space was sold one year before the fair started, and seven months before the fair took place, with the final booking rate of the exhibition space reaching 95 per cent. With increasing interest, new hall number 4 was added to ANKIROS as of September 2020, halls 2, 3, 6, 7, and 9 are fully booked and reservations and sales of halls 4, 5 and 8 continues. Among the exhibitors, many new companies are preparing to exhibit with different products, technologies and services. With the postponement of the fair, there is a plan to open a new hall in line with the demand of many more new exhibitors.

At ANKIROS global suppliers of the casting, iron-steel and non-ferrous metallurgy industries will allow access to all products related to the metallurgical industry such as raw materials and consumables, induction and melting furnaces, refractory materials, casting, forging, sandblasting and moulding machines and mixers, heat treatment furnaces, low and high pressure diecasting, metal injection presses, control and test equipment, under one roof. Modern production technologies, 3D layered printers, Industry 4.0 integration hardware and software will also take their places in the fairs due to the increasing interest.

The product range of the casting industry, its improved production figures, the investments of latest technologies, experience and knowledge provides a significant advantage to Turkish foundries in terms of export and Turkish production and makes Turkish foundries some of the world’s most important producers. Successful foundries from all over the world, some of which being TÜDOKSAD – Turkish Foundry Association members, will come together again at the TURKCAST fair.

ANKIROS / TURKCAST fairs will continue to introduce products from the most advanced technologies in a single platform and offer varying solutions to different expectations by creating alternatives suitable for every need. The metallurgy world will have the opportunity to find the right buyer for their products, technologies and services and be able to meet face to face with their customers for three days.

ANKIROS / TURKCAST 2020 visitor promotions continue on different platforms for June

On the new dates, it is anticipated that travelling and procurement trade missions will be organised by Hannover Messe Ankiros Fairs to visit ANKIROS. In addition, the ‘matchmaking’ programme will be organised in co-operation with VDMA, Enterprise European Network and Turkish Trade Ministry to enable casting buyers to meet with TURKCAST exhibitors.

The organisers look forward to healthy, successful and profitable days for all the metallurgy industry and are awaiting to meet everyone in Istanbul on 10th June 2021. www.ankiros.com
