ANKIROS with TURKCAST is ready for the highly anticipated gathering of the metallurgy business world

ANKIROS is one of the leading international trade fairs in the metallurgy industry, and will be held in Istanbul, Turkey on 6-8th October 2022.

Speaking about the much-anticipated event, Ibrahim Anil, managing director of HM ANKIROS Fairs said: “Since 1992, with its settled reputation and the power of founding industries ANKIROS Fairs can overcome the crises. In its last edition ANKIROS 2018 achieved a record of ‘satisfied’ visitors and exhibitors and almost all recurring exhibitors are waiting for the upcoming business meetings. “New dates will be the perfect timing after this long wait for face-to-face business due to the pandemic.

“Being the first real exhibition for the metallurgy industry after a long time period, the ANKIROS Fairs will be an ‘opportunity not to be missed’ for the industry. All our contracted exhibitors are waiting for new dates to meet with their forgoing business relations and new connections, after the pandemic regulations and travel restrictions pass away.”

ANKIROS and TURKCAST – an ideal platform for the foundry industry

The ANKIROS / TURKCAST exhibitions will be held between 6-8th October 2022, in conjunction with two well established international congresses – 11th International Foundry Congress, organised by Turkish Foundry Association, and 21st International Metallurgy and Materials Congress, organised by Turkish Chamber of Metallurgy and Materials Engineers Training Center. These trade fairs have become the largest and most prestigious foundry events of Eurasia with the objective of bringing together all elements of the Eurasian foundry industry under one roof. Taking place every two years since 1992, the fairs are establishing a reputation as one of the major shows for the global foundry industry for 30 years. The 2018 edition of these exhibitions was a great success as 1,020 exhibitors from 45 countries, and approximately 17,000 industry professionals from all around the world gathered on the 22,832m² net stand area. Stand reservations for the leading suppliers to foundries are already completed for the ANKIROS/TURKCAST fairs for 2022 which are gaining more and more corporate attention. These trade fairs will play an important role in the metallurgy industry and will once again offer great business opportunities.

Turkey: the reliable metal castings supplier; thanks to diecasting

In European standings, Turkey is ranked as second in ferrous castings and third in non-ferrous metal castings. Capacity utilisation rate is 65 per cent in iron and steel casting, but 90 per cent in diecasting. Being aware of this fact, Turkish foundrymen are keen on investing in diecasting while keeping their existing market shares in their already established production range. This creates many opportunities for machinery, material and technology suppliers to the diecasting sector.

Industrial highlights at ANKIROS

  • Diecasting – Due to the aforementioned information, there is a rapidly growing section for diecasting at ANKIROS and leading suppliers to the foundry industry have already secured their stand spaces.
  • Forging – The metal forging industry is on stage not only in terms of raw materials but heating. Dies, steels, heating and forming technologies and finished products will be showcased at the fair.
  • Industrial Heat Processing – From melting to heat treatments of metals, burners, controllers, refractory materials, complete furnaces, and ancillary equipment, and heat engineering services will be showcased at the fair.
  • Modern Technologies – Industry 4.0, low carbon applications, 3D additive manufacturing technologies, and computerised simulation for productivity services will also have their spaces.

Not just the foundry Industry but the whole range of metallurgy

The first link in the value chain, metallurgy industrialists, decision-makers, experts, and multipliers from all parts of the world will gather at the exhibition, representing companies of all sizes, from local to global market leaders to start-ups. This makes ANKIROS the largest international business platform of the metallurgy sector in bridging location between Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the CIS region. Turkish iron and steel makers have the second largest production capacity following Germany in the EU and rank eighth in world steel production. The sector continues investments for value added steels, productivity, and sustainable greener production.

New Hall 4 also sold out

ANKIROS exhibitors will be able to meet visitors mostly from Turkey and the wider region, including Central Asia, Middle East, The Balkans, CIS countries, Europe, and North Africa at which investments are continuing in iron/steel, foundry, forging, and heat process industries.
