The annual market growth rate of the Chinese diecasting industry

Leading diecasting companies have rushed to participate in CHINA DIECASTING in July – with about 35 per cent international and 15 per cent European participation over 90 per cent of the available space already booked by April of 2017.

About 3.7 million tons of diecastings were produced in 2015, according to the Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (FICMES) research, and about 70 per cent of them are used for automobiles and motorcycles.

Over the last 20 years, the average annual growth rate in the Chinese diecasting industry has been around 13 per cent. A complete diecasting value chain and a diecasting industrial area have been established in China. The country has become a leading diecasting nation, with the largest diecasting production worldwide. With the launch of the ‘Made in China 2025’ strategy, the manufacturing industry in the country is stepping into a brand-new period of development. And the diecasting sector is fully participating in this crucial period of transformation and upgrading. According to market research, the sales volume of cars recovered in 2016 and the 4G and 3C industries are booming, all leading to steady growth in the diecasting industry.

The annual China International Diecasting Conference and Exhibition (CHINA DIECASTING) has been held for the last 20 years. The 12th CHINA DIE CASTING 2017 will be held from 19th to 21st July 2017 in Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). As a witness to the growth path of the sector in the country, CHINA DIECASTING has become the largest diecasting exhibition in Asia for the entire diecasting value chain. The exhibition in 2017 will cover 23,800m2 and attract about 350 international exhibitors and 15,000 trade visitors from home and abroad.

In addition to diecasting, non-ferrous casting – and light metal casting in particular – is being emphasised for the future of the global casting industry. More and more enterprises are placing their focus here and starting up businesses in this new sector. To meet the increasing demand for a professional platform in China, NürnbergMesse and FICMES decided to launch the China Nonferrous Alloys & Special Casting Exhibition (CHINA NONFERROUS) in 2016. The first event attracted the leading players in the industry and was also successful as an academic forum. The concurrent CHINA DIECASTING and CHINA NONFERROUS 2017 will again bring these fields of knowledge together and new technologies will be shared, to inspire visitors with a variety of topics and events.

The event is organised by NürnbergMesse China Ltd and is part of NürnbergMesse’s international diecasting network. It collaborates closely with EUROGUSS in Nuremberg, Germany, and ALUCAST in India in sharing global diecasting resources.

Latest technologies and perspectives will be exchanged in the concurrent forum

The 2017 China Nonferrous Alloys and Special Casting Development Forum will be held before CHINA DIECASTING 2017. With several parallel sessions, the latest technologies, concepts, and visions will be exchanged among national and international industry experts. It’s acknowledged to be the most high-end industry forum in the Chinese diecasting market.

CHINA DIECASTING is tailored to meet the different needs of both exhibitors and visitors. A variety of events will take place to attract the attention of sales, purchasers, and engineers.

Highlights include:

  • Best Die Casting Competition, with more than 50 diecasters and 100 diecastings
  • China Foundry Science and Technology Achievements Trade Fair
  • Multinational matchmaking for diecasting mould and diecasting
  • Technical seminars
  • New products presentation
  • Special castings displaying area
